Despite claims by former President Donald Trump that Iran is seeking to negotiate an end to the conflict, Iranian officials have vehemently denied any ongoing discussions with the United States. Trump suggested during a recent public appearance that Iran is interested in striking a deal to cease hostilities. However, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized such assertions as “fake news,” refuting any direct or indirect engagement with Washington on this matter. The denial comes amid heightened international scrutiny of the ongoing conflict and the geopolitical implications for the region. Official Iranian sources maintain their position of non-engagement in peace talks with the US, attributing the rumors to disinformation.
