Tehran will never cede control of Strait of Hormuz, senior Iranian politician tells BBC

Senior Iranian politician Ebrahim Azizi has publicly stated that Tehran will never surrender its command over the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. Speaking to the BBC’s Lyse Doucet, Azizi affirmed Iran’s resolve, clarifying that the nation would unilaterally determine the regulations for transit through the crucial shipping artery. This assertion reinforces Iran’s long-standing position regarding its dominion over the indispensable maritime passage.
