An investigation by the BBC has revealed that many female creators on the platform OnlyFans have been exploited by individuals presenting themselves as managers or agents. These individuals reportedly promised to enhance creators’ earnings but instead exerted control, issued threats, and took a significant portion of their income, often as much as fifty percent. The findings are based on interviews with dozens of women who detailed their experiences of exploitation within this system. These managers allegedly manipulated creators, often using aggressive tactics to ensure compliance and maximize the managers’ own profits at the expense of the creators’ livelihoods.
